Check that --literally allows object creation with a bogus type, with two type strings whose length is reasonably short and very long. Jeff King	b7994af0f9	type_from_string_gently: make sure length matches When commit `fe8e3b7` refactored type_from_string to allow input that was not NUL-terminated, it switched to using strncmp instead of strcmp. But this means we check only the first "len" bytes of the strings, and ignore any remaining bytes in the object_type_string. We should make sure that it is also "len" bytes, or else we would accept "comm" as "commit", and so forth. Nguyễn Thái Ngọc Duy	c879daa237	Make hash-object more robust against malformed objects Commits, trees and tags have structure. Don't let users feed git with malformed ones. Sooner or later git will die() when encountering them. Note that this patch does not check semantics. A tree that points to non-existent objects is perfectly OK (and should be so, users may choose to add commit first, then its associated tree for example). Dmitry Potapov	3970243150	add --path option to git hash-object The --path option allows us to pretend as if the contents being hashed came from the specified path, and affects which input filter is used via the attributes mechanism. This is useful for hashing a temporary file whose name is different from the path that is meant to have the hashed contents. Gerrit Pape	8a2f5e5b03	hash-object: cleanup handling of command line options git hash-object used to process the --stdin command line argument before reading subsequent arguments. This caused 'git hash-object --stdin -w' to fail to actually write the object into the database, while '-w --stdin' properly did. Now git hash-object first reads all arguments, and then processes them. This regresses one insane use case. git hash-object used to allow multiple --stdin arguments on the command line: $ git hash-object --stdin --stdin foo ^D bar ^D Now git hash-object errors out if --stdin is given more than once.
