Bryan Donlan	f69e836fab	Fix tests breaking when checkout path contains shell metacharacters This fixes the remainder of the issues where the test script itself is at fault for failing when the git checkout path contains whitespace or other shell metacharacters. The majority of git svn tests used the idiom test_expect_success "title" "test script using $svnrepo" These were changed to have the test script in single-quotes: test_expect_success "title" 'test script using "$svnrepo"' which unfortunately makes the patch appear larger than it really is. Wincent Colaiuta	2587d67966	Fix t9101 test failure caused by Subversion "auto-props" If a user has an "auto-prop" in his/her ~/.subversion/config file for automatically setting the svn:keyword Id property on all ".c" files (a reasonably common configuration in the Subversion world) then one of the "svn propset" operations in the very first test would become a no-op, which in turn would make the next commit a no-op. This then caused the 25th test ('test propget') to fail because it expects a certain number of commits to have taken place but the actual number of commits was off by one. Björn Steinbrink identified the "auto-prop" feature as the cause of the failure. This patch avoids it by passing the "--no-auto-prop" flag to "svn import" when setting up the test repository, thus ensuring that the "svn propset" operation is no longer a no-op, regardless of the users' settings in their config. This has the disadvantage of committing the .gitignore during the next dcommit, but when you import a repo with tons of ignores (>1000), using git svn show-ignore to build .git/info/exclude is not a good idea, because things like git-status will end up doing >1000 fnmatch per file in the repo, which leads to git-status taking more than 4s on my Core2Duo 2Ghz 2G RAM) * git-svn.perl (%cmd): Add the new command `create-ignore'. Michael Spang	7b3fab877d	Work around Subversion race in git-svn tests. Some of the git-svn tests can fail on fast machines due to a race in Subversion: if a file is modified in the same second it was checked out (or in for that matter), Subversion will not consider it modified. This works around the problem by increasing the timestamp by one second before each commit. Eric Wong	dc62e25cbd	git-svn: SVN 1.1.x library compatibility Tested on a plain Ubuntu Hoary installation using subversion 1.1.1-2ubuntu3 1.1.x issues I had to deal with: * Avoid the noisy command-line client compatibility check if we use the libraries. * get_log() arguments differ (now using a nice wrapper from Junio's suggestion) * get_file() is picky about what kind of file handles it gets, so I ended up redirecting STDOUT. I'm probably overflushing my file handles, but that's the safest thing to do... * BDB kept segfaulting on me during tests, so svnadmin will use FSFS whenever we can. * If somebody used an expanded CVS $Id$ line inside a file, then propsetting it to use svn:keywords will cause the original CVS $Id$ to be retained when asked for the original file. As far as I can see, this is a server-side issue. We won't care in the test anymore, as long as it's not expanded by SVN, a static CVS $Id$ line is fine. While we're at making ourselves more compatible, avoid grep along with the -q flag, which is GNU-specific. Eric Wong	42d328701d	git-svn: make the $GIT_DIR/svn/*/revs directory obsolete This is a very intrusive change, so I've beefed up the tests significantly. Added 'full-test' a target to the Makefile, to test different possible configurations. This is intended for maintainers only. Users should only be concerned with 'test' succeeding. We now have a very simple custom database format for handling mapping of svn revisions => git commits. Of course, we're not really using it yet, either. Also disabled automatic branch-finding on new trees for now. It's too easily broken. revisions_eq() function should be helpful for branch detection. Eric Wong	36f5b1f0c8	git-svn: ignore expansion of svn:keywords Unlike my earlier test patch, this also checks svn:eol-style and makes sure it's applied to working copy updates. This is definitely more correct than my original attempt at killing keyword expansions, but I still haven't tested it enough to know. Feedback would be much appreciated. Also changed assert_svn_wc_clean() to only work on the svn working copy. This requires a separate call to assert_tree() to check wc integrity against git in preparation for another change I'm planning.
