lsinitrd: use /boot/<machine-id>/<kernel-version>/initrd as the default image
...
if /boot/<machine-id> exists; then
use /boot/<machine-id>/<kernel-version>/initrd as the default image;
else fallback to /boot/initramfs-<kernel-version>.img
